peopleThe main objectives of Kyrgyzstan-Science www.kyrgyzstan-sci.org are:

  • To bring together researchers and practitioners in Kyrgyzstan and to meet other scientists from all over the World
  • To encourage international scientific cooperation and knowledge exchange
  • To encourage especially young scientists to present and discuss their own research projects, publish outcomes of their research,  exchange information between researchers and thereby contribute to the advancement of Science in Kyrgyzstan.

Avalanches leave passengers stranded in southern Kyrgyzstan
Photo: Kyrgyz Emergency Ministry 3 February 2009 (IRIN) - Rescue teams were trying to reach some 20 people stranded in three cars and eight trucks    after avalanches engulfed parts of the road between Ala-Buka and Kanysh-Kyia in southern Kyrgyzstan on 2 February,  AkiPress news site reported citing the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergencies.
